Bald eagle
Our two bald eagles were entrusted to us by the ''Union Québécoise de Réhabilitation des Oiseaux de Proie'' (UQROP), after they were victims of poaching. They both therefore have part of the wing amputated which eliminates their chance of survival in nature. They therefore live a peaceful retirement at the Bioparc.
Injured birds of prey
If you find a bird of prey that appears injured or in distress, it is your duty to inform the wildlife protection officers of the Ministère de la Forêt, de la Faune et des Parcs (MFFP). They are among the animals that must be declared. You must contact the toll-free number 1-877-346-6763 or outside office hours, SOS Poaching, centralesos@mffp.gouv.qc.ca / 1 800 463-2191 in order to transport the bird.
