Listen to the capsule
''Ancrage des eaux'' by Sébastien Roy

In this audio, Jean-Pierre Poirier, a proud citizen of Pointe-des-Cascades, tells us his life story, closely linked to the history of the canal and Pointe-des-Cascades.

Pointe-des-Cascades owes its name to the waterfalls created by the meeting of two rivers: the Ottawa and the St. Lawrence.
