The governor who lives and works here at the Château Saint-Louis is the chief and representative of the king. He regularly organized receptions and balls to which members of Quebec's social class, the military, clergy, bourgeois and merchants were invited.

Dated: 1800-1834
Our little vial was discarded or lost here, perhaps at a party given by the governor. It was then found during archaeological excavations between 2005 and 2007.
