Here's an overview of what we do!

- We reduce water consumption through our low-flow sanitary facilities in all rooms and public toilets.
- We have water bottle filling stations that allow visitors to fill their own reusable water bottles, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles.
- We use water pitchers instead of water bottles in meeting rooms.
- The hotel participates in the Conserve to Preserve towel and linen reuse program.
DID YOU KNOW THAT TAP WATER IN QUÉBEC CITY IS EXCELLENT, EVEN BETTER THAN BOTTLED WATER? 💦
The quality of drinking water distributed in Quebec City is outstanding. All water distributed through the network is processed in a treatment facility. Thirsty? Just open the tap!

- We have energy-efficient lighting (LED) in all rooms, common areas and meeting rooms.
- We have a temperature control system (Metasys) in rooms and halls to optimize energy consumption.
- New cooking equipment in the kitchen that reduces energy consumption.
DID YOU KNOW THAT HILTON QUÉBEC'S EXTERIOR CLADDING HELPS REDUCE THE HEAT ISLAND EFFECT AND CUTS ENERGY REQUIREMENTS? 🌞
The pale aluminum panels of our exterior cladding have reflective properties, which reduce the absorption of the majority of solar energy by our building, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit the heating of surrounding spaces. This material is also more resistant, durable and recyclable.

LIMIT THE USE OF PLASTIC::
- The Digital Key application available via the Hilton Honors mobile app allows guests to check in and select their room and obtain a digital key.
- Our showers and bathtubs feature soap dispensers that help reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles. Partially used hand soaps and other products are recycled as part of the Clean the World program.
- The hotel participates in Quebec City's Consigne Action program, which involves sorting beverage containers by material - aluminum, plastic and glass. This system achieves a 100% recuperation rate, making the deposit the most efficient way to recycle these materials. This contributes to reducing greenhouse gases by reducing the need to extract new resources for the fabrication of containers.
- We have water bottle filling stations that allow visitors to fill their own reusable water bottles, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles.
- We participate in the anti-straw movement and use water pitchers instead of water bottles in meeting rooms.
AVOID FOOD WASTE :
- The hotel participates in the biomethanation program led by the City of Québec, transforming food waste into renewable energy and natural fertilizer.
- We reduce our amount of food waste by returning leftovers from events to the employee cafeteria.
- We use imperfect fruit and vegetables wherever possible. Especially for soups, sauces and other dishes.

- Local sourcing: We have a vast network of producers in the Quebec City region and give priority to buying local products and supporting the local economy.
- Our "Jardin de rue ": Summer street gardening project on St-Jean Street. In collaboration with Quartier Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Urbainculteurs, harvests are distributed for free at public markets.
- Rooftop beehives: our rooftop beehives contribute to biodiversity and provide delicious local honey for our guests.
Involvement with community organizations and charities :
- Avant tout, les enfants
- Pignon Bleu
- YWCA
- Toy parade
- We are also proud to contribute to our community by donating approximately $60,000 annually in gift certificates to various foundations. These donations enable these organizations to raise funds for their causes at charity auctions.
