Josiane Lanthier - artist painter

Josiane Lanthier is a Quebec artist - painter.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She has won awards for her work, which is widely exhibited in group shows in Quebec, as well as in solo shows, including "Voyage-voyage", at Galerie Marc Gosselin in Montreal.

The colorful painting below depicts a natural landscape typical of the region. Parc National des grands-jardins is in Charlevoix, Saint-Urbain. Only 1h20 east of Quebec City.

In fact, Josiane Lanthier's practice focuses mainly on landscape painting. It is characterized by an intense search for color, in which the artist is interested in its treatment and function, and particularly in the energy and liveliness that emanate from certain combinations.
