0The General Store

The general store was at the centre of economic life. It sold groceries, ironwork (nails, screws, horseshoes), clothing, cloth by the yard, thread, oil lamps, medicines and feed. People brought their containers to buy molasses and vinegar.
In 1918, the building was moved with 15 teams of horses. Today, this house is still inhabited and located at 191 Malvina Road.
