Challenge 2
Mapping possible outcomes

🎯 The goal of this challenge is to identify possible outcomes that could be generated via the impact intentions developed in Challenge 1.
💡 Remember that outcomes are "Changes that you intended to generate and that can be observed or evaluated following an activity."
You are being asked to imagine some observable effects or results on a specific group of stakeholders that would be generated through some kind of legacy project organised around your chosen event.
Outcomes should be identified at various levels, see framing questions below.
Instructions
👉 Designate one scribe for the team, share the MURAL Board.
👉 Discuss the event and use the framing questions to generate some insights.
👉 Capture your insights by filling out the section contained under CHALLENGE 2 => "Identify possible outcomes that you would like to see generated by a legacy project for your chosen event." and "Which stakeholders groups are affected by each outcome?"
💡 Some Framing Questions
- What short term outcomes could arise from a legacy project around this event?
💡 Short term outcomes usually represent an increase in knowledge, capacity, skills or contacts, and affect stakeholders that interact directly with the event or the legacy project activities.
💡 They usually arise directly from the activities undertaken by the event organizers or some community actors.
- What mid-term outcomes could arise from a legacy project around this event?
💡 These would represent a tangible change in the way individuals behave and implement practice, or the way groups or organizations function and deliver services or activities.
- Can you also identify at least one long-term outcome?
💡 These would normally represent a durable, sustainable change that happens where society benefits.
- Which stakeholder group would "feel" the changes named in each of your outcomes?
