The quietest quarters

At the bottom of the stairs are the wheelsmen’s and supply crew’s quarters. These quarters are located directly above the propeller shafts. The crew members whose cabins are in these quarters hear a sound like this one when going to sleep.

Food store

This is where the food was stored. But during the Second World War, shells for the cannon were stored here.
