Let me introduce you to the Jean Talon market, one of the oldest public markets in town (inaugurated in 1933), located in the heart of Little Italy, less than a 5-minute walk from Jean Talon metro station.

When you arrive, you can either stroll through the market alleys of local producers or also please your appetite with the many restaurants and shops you will find.

Do not forget to go through the Hamel cheese dairy which offers a large and tasty choice of cheeses and cold meats to enhance your picnic!

When you arrive at the market, a stop also at Café Saint Henri is a must. It is indeed the first micro-roaster to be established in Quebec! Depending on the season, sit on the terrace or warm inside to enjoy your coffee.

Are you more into oyster tasting? Go to the Oyster Box which manages to bring together more than 40 different types of oysters under its roof, inside the market. Order your selection and taste your platter on site, between June and October!

Once at the park, we recommend you settle near the water point and its fountain for a picnic in good company along with the ducks, for a moment of disconnection in the middle of city.

Many tables can be found at your disposal. The sunset is really beautiful to gaze at. Jarry Park is also a place where you can indulge in different activities around its many playgrounds.
