Montreal International Jazz Festival 2026

Every summer, thousands of music lovers from around the world flock to downtown Montréal for the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. Some 3,000 performers and musicians from over 30 countries treat audiences to a vast number of indoor and outdoor concerts, most of which are free, at and around the Quartier des spectacles. Easily accessible through various modes of transportation, the Festival continues to be a major Montréal attraction and a springboard for outstanding musical talent from here and afar.

Canada Day Montreal

On July 1st, celebrate Canada Day in Montréal with family activities, music, food and fireworks in the Old Port of Montréal at the Grand Quay.

From 1:00pm to 10:00pm.


Highlights on July 1:

• Le Canada en marche toward the Grand Quay.

• A musical welcome at the Grand Quay, with the RCMP Pipes and Drums.

• Family activities inspired by soccer, aerospace and hockey.

• Civic moments: ceremonial salute, flag raising, national anthem accompanied by the military band and citizenship ceremony.

• A Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP presence.

• Performances by local artists on the main stage.

• A festive atmosphere by the river.


MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE (MONTRÉAL CiRQUE FESTIVAL)

MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE offers a varied circus program in various locations around Montréal, each year. Over the course of 11 days, the city comes to life as circus performers wow audiences with fun and amusement as streets, sidewalks and parks become the stage for awe-inspiring and colourful performances. A must-see event for circus fans who love to see death-defying stunts, bright costumes and more. Onlookers can’t help but smile seeing these talented people show their stuff.

Festival International Nuits d’Afrique

The Festival International Nuits d’Afrique is a worldwide musical gathering featuring rhythms out of Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. More than 700 artists will descend upon Montréal, performing in several venues across the city. Festival goers will enjoy 13 days of indoor concerts, eight series six concert venues plus two outdoor stages and over 150 free and paid activities. Come discover this warm, inviting and engaging atmosphere steeped in joy and music.

Just For Laughs Montréal

The Just For Laughs Festival Montréal is the largest comedy festival in the world ! An unmissable event that transforms the city into the international capital of laughter every summer. For more than 40 years, it has celebrated comedy in all its forms, uniting renowned performers, rising stars, and emerging talent in a bold, diverse, and inclusive lineup. Night after night, unforgettable moments unfold in the Quartier des Spectacles and across venues throughout the city. Festivalgoers from around the world are invited to come together and celebrate laughter, joy, and creativity.


Haiti on Fire! 20th edition

The largest music and multidisciplinary festival dedicated to Haitian culture outside of Haiti | Montreal, July 23–27, 2025. This week-long event promotes the diverse, rich culture of Haiti and attracts artists of Haitian origin plus performers from other communities to come and strut their stuff for the world to see. This festival returns for another exciting edition with plenty to do and see for the whole family. Festival goers will enjoy a delightful selection of lively music plus film screenings, dance performances, literature, conferences, a taste of Haitian cuisine and much more.

Montréal Comiccon

Montreal Comiccon is much more than just a chance for fans to dress up and meet their comic book heroes: it’s a full-fledged, multi-genre entertainment and comic convention that showcases artists, celebrities and products from popular genres such as sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming in all its forms, and, of course, bande dessinée and comic books. Montreal Comiccon features an exhibition hall and extensive programming which includes workshops, anime and film screenings, gaming in all its forms, guest autograph and photo sessions, panel discussions, a costume contest and more. Since its launch in 2008, Montreal Comiccon attracts thousands of visitors of all ages each year.

Mont-Royal Avenue’s trade fair

Mount-Royal Avenue’s long awaited trade fair returns to the delight of residents of the Plateau and visitors who frequently visit the neighbourhood. Taking place between Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Fullum Street, the fair features over 350 businesses spread out over 2.5 kilometers spilling out into the pedestrian thoroughfare. A joyful and relaxed atmosphere will be enjoyed by all while some shops remain open late until 11pm from Thursday to Saturday, and until 9pm on Sunday. The fun continues as many terrasses welcome guests until 1am, except on Sunday, when they close at 11pm.
