Explore one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—an archaeological treasure trove and a monumental testament to Egyptian architectural genius. The Science Centre

The Science Centre invites you to explore the wonders of science and technology in a stimulating and interactive setting where children can explore and experiment through to a series of different hands-on experiences.

You’ll find a total of five exhibitions on our site, as well as the IMAX®TELUS theatre with a giant seven-storey screen featuring documentary films that the entire family can enjoy, each about 45 minutes in length.

We have a whole series of wonderful activities to delight visitors of all ages! 

Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History

A designated national archaeological and historic site, Pointe-à-Callière is home to the very birthplace of Montréal and focuses on several centuries of history, from the time of the First Peoples to the present day. In addition to its impressive underground archaeological remains, the museum also offers the opportunity to explore the city through permanent exhibitions and a multimedia show projected over the remains. The museum complex also presents temporary exhibitions of national and international scope, as well as several cultural activities to delight young and old alike.

Just down the hill on the Olympic Parc esplanade, Îlots76 is a blast for kids, with bouncy castles, a play area, snacks and more. Go skateboarding at Vans Skatepark (one of many cool skateparks in the city) and rock climbing on Nomad Bloc’s supervised routes (climbing shoes can be rented on site). Plus, from June 7 to August 4, Montréal’s gourmet food trucks set up at the Olympic Park and at the Clock Tower Quay (August 2 to 4) for the First Fridays food truck event, with great food, music and family-friendly activities.

iSaute: Amusement parks in Quebec - Trampoline

It's raining outside and your kids are full of obnoxious energy. What to do, what to do? Easy: take them to a giant warehouse full of trampolines and let them jump and bounce until they pass out. iSaute has two branches in Montreal, one in Kirkland and one in Anjou. Open to kids and adults alike, Mondays are the best day to go, as there are family jump nights with special prices for people with children.

Jean-Doré Beach

A golden sandy beach located just minutes away from downtown? Yes! The beach at Parc Jean-Drapeau is the perfect playground to build a sand castle, splish-splash around in some water, and then roast in the sun for a couple of hours. Cool off and have fun on the Parc Aquazilla obstacle course, with its 30 x 35-metre inflatable structure complete with slides and platforms for jumping into the water (starting June 23). You can also rent canoes, kayaks and pedal boats. Did we mention there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the beach?

Petit Piknik

The formula: Petit Piknic is a 100% free event for everyone. original and festive, presented four Sunday afternoons on the Piknic Électronik website. The event will be held from 12pm to 3pm and will be FREE. Our goal: to decompartmentalize the world of electronic music by bringing together families, young adults and less young people around this event.


Beyond these special Petits Piknics, Piknics will always be open and free for children under 12!
