Doris Youngblood's Story

As the steward of Dr. Slaughter’s mansion, Doris Youngblood has spent countless hours researching at local libraries and archives to piece together the story of Dr. W.H. Slaughter’s journey to becoming one of the most influential men in Oklahoma City.

To ensure these stories are no longer hidden, Youngblood founded the nonprofit Black Living Legacy, an organization that utilizes modern technology to keep history accessible to everyone.
