Dr. Henry Townsend's Story

Townsend recalls a childhood environment defined by proximity to educators, physicians, and civic leaders. Neighbors included principals, teachers, nurses, ministers, and medical professionals associated with institutions such as Douglas High School, Dunbar Elementary, and Calvary Baptist Church. This dense professional ecosystem created what he describes as a “village” of mentorship and accountability.
