The Red Fox

You are not dreaming! The two new red foxes you can see are special: they are silver! Arrived from a fur farm, this young couple was born in the spring of 2022 and arrived at the Ecomuseum Zoo in the fall of 2022. Their names, Saga (female) and Sindri (male), were chosen by our visitors!

The silver red foxes can be distinguished by their coat which can range from black to blue, grey and ash grey. The tip of their tail, however, will always be white!

Our animal care team has begun their "biomedical" training so that we can ensure their good health and well-being on a daily basis. Prior to their arrival, the living area was completely renovated. We are looking forward to seeing all this new vegetation in the spring!
