The Old Bridge

Until 1953, the road through the village and the bridge over the river ran on the left side of the house.

At the time, the Malvina River was named King Brook by the Americans who came to sift through the bottom of the river in search of gold. The name came from a claim held by a certain Mr. Roy, whom the Americans nicknamed “king.”
