A hat-trick for Ferrari

Two years after a triumphant return to Le Mans for the race’s centenary, and fifty years after its last entry in the top class of Hypercar, Ferrari has secured a third consecutive victory.

Driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Philip Hanson, the No. 83 Ferrari AF Corse added its name to the 24 Hours of Le Mans winners’ list this time. The No. 83 Ferrari thus became the first private prototype to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans since the start of the Hypercar class.

In front of 332,000 spectators, the three drivers obtained their first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The young British driver Phil Hanson is the best driver of the race, following his 2020 win in the LMP2 class. Robert Kubica and Yifei Ye became the first Polish and Chinese drivers respectively to win at Le Mans.

First Chinese winner, the young Yifei Ye is also native from Le Mans, having moved there on his own at the age of 14. In 2014, he joined the FFSA Academy, a "sport étude" programme for young drivers, after an agreement between the French and the Chinese motorsport federations. 

With this victory at the age of 25, he has realised his dream of winning the Le Mans race, dominating the Hunaudières, Mulsanne or Indianapolis straights – tracks on which he had previously brilliantly obtained... his driving licence.

In addition to its major triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the N° 83 car, Ferrari won four consecutive victories at the beginning of 2025, enabling the team to clinch its first world endurance title since 1972! A year in which the manufacturer had declined to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
