The Saco Yacht Club


Proprietor's Wharf still lives on in the form of the Saco Yacht Club. This club started as a small group in 1878, eventually establishing a clubhouse and growing to occupy the length of the wharf.



The Saco Yacht Club still plays a key role in the boating culture of the region, serving as the launching pad for many of the active boaters on the river.


The Saco Yacht Club is private property, please be respectful and stay on the tour path.

Next to the Saco Yacht Club is a public boat launch that also provides much-needed public access to the river for paddlers, anglers, and boats of all kinds.
