Stewards of the Saco River

The Saco River has done so much for this region, and like those passionate residents who advocated for the river in the 1970s and helped spark the formation of the Saco River Corridor Commission, we need to continue to speak up for the river and find ways we can be better stewards of the waters that we rely on every day.

Stewardship comes in all shapes and sizes — from the simple act of snapping photos or volunteering to pick up trash to more time-intensive actions like water quality monitoring or speaking out in favor of legislation that supports clean water and healthy rivers.
