Head to Stop 3


Before you leave the lookout, glance downstream along the Saco shoreline and you'll see the Saco Yacht Club — who's history is the subject of our next section.


The Saco Yacht Club occupies the point just downstream of the dam.


As you head to the next stop, take note of the surroundings and plants as you walk, and we'll explore some of the things you'll see in later sections.


Wild strawberries and other plants are noticeable along the walkway.


To get to Stop 3, head up the stairs and turn right once you've reached the roadway, walking downstream toward the public boat launch.



Be mindful of vehicles on the road, and take care walking along the street or any uneven surfaces.


This walk is downhill, and you will see construction ahead. You are on the right path!


Keep this sign on your right and continue down the road.
You'll find this sign at the bottom of the hill.


As one of Saco's Public Boat Launches, this is an active site. Please be mindful of vehicles and boaters backing their trailers in. 


If you feel comfortable doing so, take a walk out on the dock for a better view or dip your toes in the water.
