A First Communion on Main st. in Coteau-Station (Les Coteaux)
1903

Coteau-Station was once known as 'Station du Coteau' or 'Coteau-Jonction'. Its name was referencing to the significant railway activities that contributed to the development of a thriving town. The economic activities of Coteau-Station were also linked to the maritime activities of Coteau-Landing, connected by the public wharf and the now-disappeared grain elevator. In both cases, the goal was to transport goods inland.
On Main st. (Principale Street), a photograph captures the first communion of young boys from the village. Today, Principale Street has been renamed Lippée Street following the 1994 merger of the two municipalities to form Les Coteaux.
