Aboard the Rapids Prince
1935

The Rapids Prince was one of the three white boats of the Canada Steamship Line flee, alongside the Rapids King and the Rapids Queen. This boat was the most beautiful and the largest of the white boats to 'jump' the rapids: a passenger favorite.
Until the late 1940s, it would travel through the canal from Montreal, heading toward Prescott, Ontario, before returning to Montreal by 'jumping' the river’s rapids. In the background, you can see the Les Cèdres hydroelectric power station, which was commissioned in 1914 and is still in operation.
